Over the past 20 blogs, 15 have been for the Big 2 (11 football and 4 basketball.) There were three general blogs more about general sports admin, and only two hitting on any of the "minor" sports: one volleyball and one soccer. This despite the fact that volleyball and soccer are launching their season along side of football.<br /><br />The other sports are building in popularity and the coverage they get has a great impact on fan attendance and participation. Much of the interest in the sport comes from getting to know the players. It was a blow to loose Tim Flagstad from the Journal as he gave great coverage to some of the other sports at ISU. It looks now like we are going back to the staple of every small college town: football and basketball.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
